cardinalalum
Christmas is now behind us, and we have another week of holiday tournaments with the new year upon us. Some bad winter weather shut a few games down the day before Christmas for teams in the region, but everyone should be recharged and ready to go this week as we start resuming play. We still don’t have a clear-cut favorite for the 15th, but a few teams are starting to set themselves apart from the others. 1. Martin County (7-2) The Cardinals are on a 5-game winning streak and have impressive wins over Perry and Hazard from the 14th and Rowan County from the 16th region. Martin County has two games left in 2022 against Tucker County Wv, and Camron Wv. 2. Pikeville (5-2) The panthers are settling in and won the Pikeville Invitational with a win over Harlan County. They are headed to Tennessee this week to play in the Smoky Mountain Christmas Classic. 3. Pike Central (6-3) Pike Central went 1-2 on the week with losses to Perry County and Ashland.
