BluegrassPreps.com 15th Region Tournament Review

Featured Replies

With the championship game set to be played tonight lets look back at the tournament this past week as we had a good week of games in Pikeville. Tonight's championship will see Pikeville vs Pike County Central.

Quarterfinals

Martin County 53 / Belfry 49

Pikeville 63 / Lawrence County 57

Pike County Central 65 / East Ridge 62

Betsy Layne 65 / Paintsville 55

Semifinals

Pikeville 71 / Martin County 46

Pike County Central 87 / Betsy Layne 74

Overall it's been a fun tournament to watch this year and tonight's championship should be interesting but I'm still not a fan of the Appalachian Wireless Arena and its staff. I'll always advocate for it to be pulled out and put back into high schools even though I doubt we will see it happen.

Pikeville continued their dominating fashion of the tournament once again in the Championship game to advance to the Sweet 16. The Panthers was the most consistent team in the 15th this year only having one in region loss all season. Good Luck to Pikeville at Rupp and represent us well down state.
