As the teams celebrate the Holidays, the rankings are rounding into form. Let's look at the current rankings:

1A:  Western (9-2)  The Warriors took one on the chin, losing to a tough Manual squad in the first round of the MAC's Holiday Classic, but rebounded with 2 wins over Jeff and Southern.  Jr. G Trent Hinkle leads the team in scoring at 16.5ppg, but they have 4 players averaging double digits.  So. big J. Miles  has been sidelined due to injury, so their success without being full-strength is impressive.  Western is in Gatlinburg, TN this week.  I said I wouldn't remove them from the top spot until they lost to a 6th region foe, so.........

1B.  PRP (9-1)  I'm letting the Panthers share the top spot with Western.  The Ridge won the MAC's with an impressive 60-55 win over Manual in the final.  PRP has an impressive 3-man attack with jr. F Keith Robinson - the MAC's MVP (18.4ppg), sr. C Vic Lado (15.3ppg) and jr. PG Zee McCown (14.3ppg)  PRP also took care of Dunbar in the first round of the Lex Catholic Holiday Classic

3. Doss (8-3)  The Dragons traveled to South Warren to play in their Holiday tourney and went an impressive 3-1.  The Dragons are lead by the strong duo of sr.'s Inslee Carroll (19.4ppg), Tony Moss (18.8ppg) and   They have an experienced squad and will likely stay in the top 5 most of the season.  Doss is traveling to Illinois to play in the Mater Dei Christmas Tournament.

4. Jeffersontown (7-2)  The Chargers won 3rd place in the MAC's Holiday Classic, narrowly losing to Manual  in the semis.   The Vasser brothers (sr. Will 14.2ppg and so. Dre 13.8ppg) have been leading the way for the Chargers.   Up next for J-Town is the South Oldham Holiday Classic.

5. Bullitt East  (6-2)  The Chargers went 2-0 this week at the Cecilian Bank classic in Breck Co.  Sr. Tucker Blandford is the leader of BE (17.2ppg) but jr. G Nolan Davenport is chipping in at 12.2ppg.  Up next for the Chargers is the Island Beach Blow-out in Fla.

6. Butler  (6-5)  I try to put a lot of stock into head-to-head match-ups.  However, when you see that Butler has defeated Male, and now is the champion of the Madisonville - North Hopkins Holiday Classic, you have to move them up!   Mershon Dickerson (14.8ppg) and Julion Beard (12.2ppg) lead Butler in scoring.  The Bears hit the road this week to play in the Campbellsville Holiday Classic.

7. DeSales (4-4)  Hardluck  DeSales lost a tight game with PRP, but then won two games in Tennessee.   The Colts currently have a balanced attack, with 4 players averaging double figures (Austin Cole-Carr leads team at 18ppg)  They next play Cov. Holy Cross in the 1st round of the MIddletown Holiday Classic @ Eastern

8. Southern  (5-3) The Trojans went 1-2 this week in the MAC's Holiday Classic.  The Trojans are led by sr. G Cam Pfiester (13.8ppg) and sharpshooter Xavier Shobe (14.8ppg).  LIke J-Town, Southern is also in the South Oldham Holiday Classic.

9. Iroquois (9-1)  The  Raiders continue to impress, going 3-0 this week and winning the Iroquois Invitational.  The Q is  paced by sr. Davion Burton (13.6ppg), but have 4! other players averaging double figures.  They next play in the Henry Co Invitational.

10. Evangel  (2-6)  The Eagles have continued to play a ridiculous schedule - just home from Vegas after going 1-3 in the Jerry Tarkanian Classic.  Guard Christian Spalding (12.4ppg) and C Cyr Malonga (11.1ppg) are pacing Evangel so far.  They are now in Myrtle Beach to play in the Beach Ball Classic.

11. Fern Creek (4-6)  The Tigers split games this week in Ohio at the Princeton Tournament.  As expected, sr. Darian Lewis is pacing FC at 18.6ppg.  They next play on 12/27 where they play in the Lake Cumberland Classic

12. Bullitt Central  (6-3) senior Hunter Coleman is leading BC at 21.6ppg

13. Fairdale (5-5)

14.  Beth Haven (9-1) Sr. F Luka Mateski is averaging a team high 25.6ppg (leads the region).

15. Holy Cross  (4-4) so. F Jacob Hand is leading HC is scoring at 20.0ppg.

16. Valley (3-10)

17. North Bullitt (2-10)

18. Moore (0-9)
