Lincoln County stays perfect while many of the rest beat up on each other. Pulaski County and Boyle County join Lincoln County still as the clear top three in the region. 

Team Rankings

1.      Lincoln County – Jaxon Smith is averaging 21 points per game as the Patriots keep their undefeated season intact with wins over McCreary County Central and Somerset. Lincoln’s defense has been superb as the Briar Jumpers were the first team to break 50 against them. The Patriots have a pair of road trips to Nicholasville this week as they travel to face both West and East Jessamine.

2.      Pulaski County – Pulaski had another terrific week with wins over McCreary Central, Casey County and East Jessamine. Zach Travis has 19 points and Gavin Stevens had 18 in the win over McCreary Central. They continue their slew of 12th region games as they face off with Wayne County and Somerset this week.

3.      Boyle County – The Rebels dropped their first loss of the year as they were blown out by Lexington Catholic. They bounced back to beat South Oldham by 8. They face Southwestern, Rockcastle County and Clay County as Boyle looks to integrate Luke Imfeld fully into the roster and ratchet up their performance.

4.      West Jessamine – The Colts went 2 and 1 in the Toyota Classic with wins over Lexington Christian and Lafayette and a loss to South Laurel. Drew Marshall recorded 9 points and 7 boards in the loss to South Laurel. They face Lincoln County, Mercer County and Somerset this week.

5.        McCreary Central – The Raiders fell to a pair of contenders in Lincoln County and Pulaski County but got a win over Danville. Trent Conatser had 13 points and 12 rebounds in the loss to Pulaski. They have road games against Southwestern and and Knox Central this week.

6.      Rockcastle County – The Rockets defeated Burgin and Somerset before losing to Madison Southern last week. Matthew Chasteen had 17 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Somerset. They square off against Casey County, Boyle County, and Wayne County this week.

7.      Wayne County – Kendall Phillips and Mason Burchett continue to lead the way for Wayne County as they are averaging 15 and 14 points, respectively. The Cardinals were blown out by Lincoln County but bounced back to defeat Southwestern. They have Pulaski County and Metcalfe County on this week’s dance card.  

8.      Garrard County – Ethan Cooper’s average has climbed to over 25 points per game as the Golden Lions stay .500 with a win against Model in which Cooper had 38 and a loss to Corbin. They face Mercer County, Burgin and Grant County this week.

9.  Mercer County – A.J. Wearren and Evan Hart are both averaging 10 points per game for the 2 and 1 Titans. They defeated Danville and lost to Western Hills last week. They face Garrard County and West Jessamine this week.  

10.  East Jessamine – The Jaguars fell to Franklin County in double overtime before being blown out by Pulaski County. Brycen Hubbard had 11 points and 11 rebounds in the loss to Franklin County. They play Burgin and Lincoln County this week.

11.      Danville – The Ads’ rough season continues but they did pick up their first win of the season in the form of a squeaker against Casey County to the tune of 67 to 64. Jalen Dunn had 22 in the victory. They play Frankfort and Madison Southern this week.

12.  Somerset – The Briar Jumpers’ slide continues as they fell to Boyle County, Rockcastle County, and Lincoln County. However, Somerset held their own for the most part against the Patriots. Indred Whitaker is averaging 13 points per game. The Jumpers face Casey County, Pulaski County, and West Jessamine this week.

13.  Southwestern – The Warriors fell on the road to Wayne County before squeaking out a win against Allen County – Scottsville. They play Boyle County and McCreary Central this week.

14. Somerset Christian – Braydon Moore scored 24 in a win over Model. The Cougars face Barbourville and Jackson County this week.

15.  Casey County – The Rebels fell to Danville and Pulaski County before bouncing back with a win over Burgin. They travel to College Avenue to play Somerset this week before heading to Rockcastle County to play the Rockets.

16.  Danville Christian – Xavier Oudor has emerged as the early star for the Warriors with an average of 19 points per game. Titus Boyd, one of the region’s finest, is sitting right above 11 points per game. They registered wins over Lynn Camp and Burgin. They travel to North Bullitt this week.

17.  Burgin – The Bulldogs are still winless but they have a bright spot in Jacob Qualls who is averaging nearly 12 per game. They play East Jessamine, Garrard County and Cumberland County this week.
