This included two of the top three, Rowan County and Boyd County. The frustration is the highest in Grayson as East Carter has played only 2 games this season. They hope to start playing on Feb 8. 1) Ashland (Week 1-0 Season 7-2) Last week #1 Ashland only played one game this week. The Tomcats had an 18-point win against neighbor, Russell. Cole Villers hit the 1,000-point club this week. He continues to be one of the leaders of the Tomcats on both ends of the floor. 2) Rowan County (Week 0-0 Season 5-1) Last week #2 Rowan County took a couple of punches from COVID this week and did not play any games 3) Boyd County (Week 0-0 Season 8-2) Last week #3 Like Rowan County, Boyd County also did not play any games this week. 4) West Carter (Week 2-1 Season 5-2) Last week #4 West Carter finally got to play some ball this week. That in itself is a victory! The Comets were 2-1 this week. The lost a home game against 15th region power Johnson Central. The Comets had wins against Bath County and also in the All-A regional finals against Raceland. 5) Russell (Week 0-1 Season 6-4) Last week #5 Russell’s only game of the week was a road loss to Ashland. The Devils generally rely on Bell or Jachimczuk for their offensive production. In the Ashland game, Jachimczuk netted 25. 6) East Carter (Week 0-0 Season 2-0) Last week #6 In what has to be VERY frustrating to coach and players, the Raiders did not have any contests this week due to COVID. They are currently scheduled for a game on Feb 8 against Fairview. Sending positive vibes to the Raiders that they can get back on the court SOON. 7) Raceland (Week 1-2 Season 4-4) Last week #7 Raceland went 1-2 on the week. Still missing a player or two, we are still finding out who and what the Rams can be. The Rams had a 1-point loss in the All-A finals to West Carter. They also had a surprise loss to rival Fairview and a district game that was very close until the 4th quarter when the Rams finally got it going to get the win. 😎 Lewis County (Week 2-0 Season 6-5) Last week #8 Lewis County went 2-0 this week. The Lions started with a home win over Fleming County and followed it with a road against Fairview. Logan Liles was the leading scorer in both games going for 17 in one and 32 in the other. 9) Bath County (Week 2-2 Season 3-4) Last week #9 After a long COVID break, Bath County had a very full week this week. The Wildcats went 2-2 for the week with road wins against Burgin and Rose Hill. The Wildcats had a ROAD LOSS TO Fairview and to West Carter 10) Fleming County (Week 1-2 Season 3-6) Last week #10 Fleming County went 1-2 this week. The Panthers had a road win against Powell County and losses to Mason County and Lewis County. 11) Morgan County (Week 0-0 Season 3-1) Last week #11 Morgan County has not played since Jan 15. 12) Elliott County (Week 0-1 Season 2-4) Last week #12 Elliott County went 0-1 this week. The Lions went on the road against Mason County. The Lions played well but was on a wrong end of an 11-point game. 13) Greenup County (Week 0-1 Season 4-7) Last week #13 Greenup County had a key district game this week with Raceland. The Musketeers played hard and late in the game was looking for a big upset win. However, they lost a tempo battle in the last quarter to get the loss. 14) Fairview (Week 2-2 Season 4-10) Last week #14 Fairview went 2-2 on the week. The biggest game of the week was a road win at rival Raceland. The Eagles also beat Bath County and had losses to Lewis County and Frankfort. Jaxon Manning provided the offensive production this week, averaging 24 points a game for the week. 15) Menifee County (Week 0-2 Season 1-12) Last week #15 Menifee County went 0-2 for the week. The Wildcats lost to Nicholas County and Williamstown this week. 16) Rose Hill (Week 1-2 Season 1-13) Last week #16 Rose Hill went 1-2 for the week.
