6th Region after week 4

With JCPS teams getting the go ahead, we will see some movement in the rankings soon.  Let's look at what's happening in the 6th Region!

(season averages in parenthesis)

1. Fern Creek (Last Seasons Champion) (0-0) 

2. DeSales (7-3)   The Colts had a great week, going 3-0, with wins over St. X (an impressive 81-58 victory, where Devin Perry was close to a 27 point triple double), Bullitt East and Holy Cross. Seniors Sekou Kalle (20p/11r) and Devin Perry (17p) are leading DeSales, but they are starting to get some solid contribution from some underclassmen, namely so. Keith Robinson (12.7p)  The Colts return to the court Tuesday vs. Western in a district match up

3. Jeffersontown (0-0)

4. PRP (0-0)  

5. Doss (0-0)  

6. Butler (0-0)

7. Bullitt East (4-3)  Bullitt East split games this week - beating district rival North Bullitt 81-62 and losing at DeSales 73-55.  The Blanford's (Sr. Will and jr. Tucker) are both averaging about 17 per game.  Their next opponent will be Tuesday (2/2) at J-town in a district match-up

8. Western (0-0) 

9. Evangel (3-5)  The Eagles had a light week, only playing one game, a 67-62 loss at Shelby Co. So. Dawson Black is leading Evangel in scoring (20p) and 8th grader Ben Tshaka is at 13p.  They get back to action at Southern on 2/2.

10. Southern (0-0)  

11. Moore (0-0)

12. Fairdale (0-0)  

13. Beth Haven (8-2)  The Bears continue to pile up wins - going 2-0 this week defeating CKHS and KCD.  Jr. Luka Mateski continues to pace Beth Haven (22p/10r) and sr. Luke Easley is averaging 16 a game.  They host Frankfort Christian on 2/2.

14. Holy Cross (5-2) The Cougars of HC had a light week, only playing DeSales to a 78-62 loss.  Fr F Jacob Hand is leading HC in scoring (17p).  They next play at Highlands Latin on 2/2.

15.  Iroquois (0-0)

16. Bullitt Central (2-6)  BC sandwiched a district win over rival North Bullitt between losses to CAL and Hart Co.  Sr. Gavin Hedges (17p) and jr. Hunter Coleman (16p) continue to lead the Cougars.  They play again on 2/2 vs. Moore.

17. Valley (0-0)

18. North Bullitt (1-6)  North Bullitt lost tough district games this week to the other Bullitt Co schools. Jr Dalton Geary (13.4p) and Sr. Brock Snead (13p) are pacing the Eagles.  They next play at Franklin Co. on Tuesday 2/2.

19. Whitefield Academy (0-4)  The Wildcats returned after their Covid hiatus this week - losing to Mercer Co and Portland Christian.  Sr. guard Nicholas Flores paces the Wildcats (21p). They travel to Bullitt Central on 2/4.
