McCreary Central comes off two consecutive losses to West Jessamine and at district rival, Wayne County.

First, a recap of McCreary's game at Wayne. The Raiders hit two more field-goals, which were both threes, than Wayne County Tuesday night, but took 26 less free-throws than Wayne. The Raiders attempted only 13 free-throws to the Cardinals 39. Wayne out rebounded the Raiders 35-18, and 15 were offensive rebounds. The Cardinals took a 1-point lead into the fourth, but took 30 free throw attempts, made only two field-goals and won by 10 points.

From Raiders coach Robert Jones:

"We got beat on the glass and didn't do a good job keeping them off the boards, but when we attacked the board, we got called for fouls," Jones said. "When they (Wayne) attacked the boards, they didn't get the same calls."

Monday night, they play at Cumberland County and get the return of senior Josh Bartley. After the game that night, they'll travel to Louisville? for the Bethleham Holiday Classic which starts the next day.

I'll take the Raiders (again).

75-62

McCreary Central 76-58.
