Cincinnati Dragons 4th place finish at Big Peach Slam Jam in Atlanta

Featured Replies

The Cincinnati Dragons finished in 4th place out of 12 teams at the Big Peach Slam Jam in Atlanta this weekend. This is probably the most prestigious regular season tournament with 4 of the top 5 and 6 of the top 10 nationally ranked teams competing. Tough weekend for us but playing some strong competition will help us in the long run. Game results below

Saturday Pool Play

#5 Houston Hotwheels 52 #3 Cincinnati Dragons 45

The Hotwheels will likely be ranked #2 in the next national rankings. They lost a couple games earlier in the year when their star player Peter Berry was out. Berry was featured on the ESPN show E:60 last year and has committed play in college for the defending collegiate national champion University of Alabama.

#2 Atlanta Hawks 56 #3 Cincinnati Dragons 54 - Dragons shot a long 3-pointer at the buzzer that went halfway down and bounced out - great effort against a very good team!

#1 Milwaukee Bucks 73 #3 Cincinnati Dragons 56

Sunday

Quarterfinals - #3 Cincinnati Dragons 57 #9 Charlotte Hornets 36

Semifinals - #1 Milwaukee Bucks 73 #3 Cincinnati Dragons 48

3rd Place Game - #2 Atlanta Hawks 68 #3 Cincinnati Dragons 57. Score doesn't indicate how close this game was. Back and forth the entire game until Atlanta pulled away the last 5 minutes of the 2nd half.
