NAIA #6 CUAA at D2 Kentucky Wesleyan College

Featured Replies

The Concordia Cardinals of Ann Arbor are travelling to Owensboro to take on the Panthers in Steele stadium. The Cardinals are ranked #6 in the NAIA Coaches Top 25 poll. They were 10-3 last season and made it to the second round of the NAIA playoffs with their balanced offensive attack that averaged 400 yards per game and 33 points.

The Panthers, 3-7 last season, averaged 20 ppg and 240 yards. The Panthers have a new Head Coach in former NFL player and UK alum Craig Yeast. Prior to coming to KWC, Yeast was OC at D3 Franklin College in Indiana. His offense amassed a whopping 565 ypg to lead the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

CUAA usually doesn't have any trouble with this level of D2 school but the fact that the Panthers have a new head coach with some success behind him makes this game harder to predict. In addition, the Cardinals no longer have Joe Conner at RB who was one of the top RBs in the NAIA last season. Overall, the team is a bit younger than it was last season. This should be a good test for the Cardinals out of the box. This is the first game of the season for both teams.

The game starts at 2 pm EDT and is live streamed. The link for live stream may be found on the page for the home team's schedule: 2
