after losing Maze Stallworth and Brandon Bland?

 

I just saw where Brandon Johnson was rated as John Hardin's top player and one of the top players in the 5th Region. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about him and what kind of player he is. Also can he help lead John Hardin back to Rupp after the graduation of last year star Maze Stallworth.

The short answer is: yes. Its them and E-Town and JH has more depth and another guard named Price who looked solid in the preseason game I saw them in.

Who did you see them play in the Preseason, and what did their inside game look like??

 

I agree that it'll be JH or E'town. The key to beating E'Town would have to be keeping Pettigrew off the offensive glass and to not give them 2nd and 3rd chance oppertunities, if a team can hold him under 20pts then they have done their job, Easier said than done though. I think Adair could be the 3rd team in this discussion. Ballou is very talented and is improving, he will be a tough matchup for alot of 4th region teams and should be even more effective on D.

They played Louisville Manual. Brandon Johnson and Ricky Price were the obvious standouts for John Hardin. JH had a couple of athletic post players at 6'6" and 6'7" that ran the court really well. JH runs a quick pace motion offense and shot a lot of threes. They played very intense man D and were successful against Manual until the end when Jenkins hit a few consective shots to pull it away and Manual outscoring JH by 11 for the game. JH should be balanced with a strong inside and outside game and they have some depth too. I saw E-Town and JH and both look to be headed toward a collision for a regional championship matchup. Just an opinion.

IMO, the 5th region may be more open for the taking than many thank. E'Town and John Hardin aren't much better, if any, than Central Hardin with North Hardin close behind. And thats just the 17th district! Caverna will make noiseout of the 18th. Bardstown and Nelson County have chances to make noise out of the 19th and Adair has a chance to make noise out of the 20th.

You're right, but the cupboard isn't empty from what I hear for Bevars. They will be the dominating team that we became used to in the Woodson, Quenton Smith days in the coming years.

I agree. 17th is among the toughest districts in the state.

North Hardin still has Aundre Autrey a top 6 player in the 5th region, who will suprise some people this season, he is a very talented basketball and could be known statewide if he has the type of season he is capible of. I do however agree about James & Jamarrious Sykes. That really hurts North Hardin alot losing those two.
