Class 4A

It was business as usual for the Top 5, as all the usual suspects took care of business highlighted by impressive wins against ranked out of state foes by Johnson Central and Corbin. Franklin-Simpson's second consecutive eyebrow raising loss knocks them out of the Top 10, while Hopkinsville's loss to Mayfield actually validates them enough to give them a spot at #10. The Tigers will need to beat a ranked 3A Caldwell County squad to remain there, though. All told, six of the top teams will face ranked foes, so a shakeup may be imminent. Lexington Catholic and Central may have two of the toughest draws of the lot.
