Class 4A

This past week seemingly served as the under card for Class 4A's main event. Franklin County proved they are a team worth knowing by blacking out the Panthers from Knox Central in a battle of two possible district champions. The Fliers wrap up district play against a North Oldham team who would love to make a statement of their own. Logan County's defense did their part, but in the end Madisonville was just a little bit better as they end Logan's undefeated run and take the #1 seed in the process. Franklin-Simpson takes the spotlight west of I-65 and will look to polish off their own race against Warren East's explosive offense. The Raider's positioned themselves for this showdown with a tough win over Allen County-Scottsville. The game everyone is waiting for though will be in Paintsville. Ashland brings their perfect record to the Eagle's Nest for a monster clash with top-ranked Johnson Central. Last year the Tomcats shocked the Golden Eagles at this point in time, but Matney's bunch got the last laugh in November.
