It Game, Somer-set, Match in District in Class 2A's most competitive district. The Briarjumpers polished off a district title by shutting out Lexington Christian and now become one of the favorites to reach the semi-finals. There are still fireworks left in District 7, as Danville and Lexington Christian will battle for the 2-seed and the all important homefield playoff game. Newport Central Catholic made a statement by handling Lloyd. The Breds are back on top after a year's hiatus in their district and seem to be finding their form at the right time. Speaking of form, a week removed from a tough loss to CAL, DeSales looked to be in a form unbecoming of one of the state’s top small schools as they had to claw tooth and nail to hold off Washington County. Glasgow seemed to be in the same boat after struggling through the first half against Glasgow. The Scotties hit their stride and ended up winning convincingly to essentially lock up the one seed in their district.
