Congratulations to Patrick Robinson on being selected as the new Head Basketball Coach at Williamsburg High School. Just like coach Herron, of the football team, Coach Robinson is a true Jacket. Coach Robinson had a stellar playing career in high school. He was member of the 1998 District Championship team, his senior season they went 26-4, and he surpassed the 1000 point mark. I don't know the stats, but I am sure that his rebounding total was way up there also. Coach Robinson played his high school ball under an excellent basketball mind in that of Coach Brent West. Coach Robinson is also very close to the Vernon men (University of Cumberlands), so I am sure they will provide some excellent tutelage for this young coach. Aside from his playing ability, coach he played under, and contacts that will provide support, the Jackets are getting someone full of enthusiasm for both the game and the school.

I would also like to add my congrats...Coach Robinson should be fine this year, the kids have been working very hard and rumor has it some of the football guys will play this year...I saw Brent Vernon at practice one day so I would say Coach Robinson has that help at his disposal...If anything rubbed off from playing under Brent West a terrific basketball mind, Coach Robinson should be able to lead the Jackets this year...:thumb:

Patrick will do a fine job...IMO

Pat is a great guy. No one will out work him. He will be a man that the kids can look to for leadership on and off the floor. If the fans will leave him alone long enough to get established (2 to years) Williamsburg will be a very competitive 1A team. Pat has roots deep into the fabrick of Whitley County. He loves Williamsburg and will do a great job. I think the administration made a good long term decision.
