Taking a look back at all these polls and doing some research. The top seed at the end of the year has won the title 7/10 times. The other years the 4 seed(Hazard), 3 seed(Pikeville)

and 2 seed(Beechwood).

 

Last year is also the first year a 1 seed did not make the finals

 

The average seeding for the finals is 1 vs 4 seed. The 1 vs 2 seed has only happen once in 2010.

 

The finals have also been close 6 times and blowouts 4 times with the last three being close games.

 

A 7 seed and 6 seed made the finals 2013 and 2016.

 

I think the BGP polls have been pretty solid in 1A since the 6 class setup.
