Caldwell County 55 Reidland 6

Featured Replies

The officials did all they could to keep this score from getting even more out of hand. Thank goodness they kept the clock running throughout the second half.

Caldwell's subs played the entire second half.

I knew Reidland was down, but this game was even more one-sided than I imagined. It could have been 70-0 at halftime.

Will Barnes was 16 of 22 passing for 247 yards and a school-record 6 touchdowns with one interception for the Tigers.

Timing is everything.

Reidland is a tough team to figure. They have some big linemen and they have a little talent on offense. Their schemes seem to be totally wrong though. They aren't a team that can challenge for the district title, but they shouldn't be giving up 48 points in the first half either. I think a change there would benefit all involved.

I'm no defensive wiz by any means, but why would you play a 5-2 against Caldwell's spread offense?

The ol' "don't cover anybody and maybe their quarterback won't see them open" defense didn't fare too well.
