6A Boone travels a short distance on Dixie Hwy to Dixie Heights for this contest Friday at 7 pm. Vote in the poll and then tell us your prediction and what each team must do to win.

Boone County is 1-3, with the win coming against Holmes HS, 27-6. Losses came against Conner 13-21, and blow outs to Ryle and South Oldham.

Dixie Heights is 1-4 coming off a win over Conner (28-21) last week. They also recorded a good showing against Campbell County (23-27) and losses to Scott, Milford (OH), and SK.

Boone: The silver lining in last Friday's loss to S. Oldham is that the play from the QB position elevated several notches. Zac Grau had a great game running the ball and looked sharp throwing it as well. The defense is obviously having its problems but perhaps with being able to concentrate primarily on the run, they can come up with enough stops to give the offense a chance to put points on the board.

Boone needs to be able to run in this contest. Possessing the ball is the first goal for this game. If they can do that they should be able to move the ball and open up the passing lanes.

Dixie: Will run the ball. They've recorded nearly 1,350 yards in their 5 games. That is an effective running attack. Obviously, this is what they will seek to do on Friday.

This game looks like it will be a contest of ground games. The match-up will be won or lost in the trenches. I think it will play out similar to Boone v Conner or Conner v Dixie. Most people have their mind made up about who will win but either team is capable of getting the "W" this Friday.
