What does Madisonville-North Hopkins need to do to improve in 2017? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Madisonville looks to have a respectable team this season. Their schedule doesn't appear to be quite as formidable as the last few. Although, Christian Co., Hoptown and Owensboro Sr. are still on the slate.

They should be able to move the ball with a very quick jr. running back Aaron Miller. He will go both ways some of the time and will be backed up by soph. Jeriah Hightower a big kid with nice footwork. They will play two quarterbacks, jr. Dan Fulton who has a nice arm but will bowl you over if he keeps it, and soph. Hayden Reynolds who has nice accuracy and touch. The receiving core is very speedy and has good hands led by soph. Marquis Parker and jr. DJ Slaton on the outside and jr. Caleb Taylor at tight end. The offensive line is led by jr Orlando Cruz at 6-5 305 and are pretty solid with good size down the line.

The defense should be capable of keeping them in games with a solid core up the middle. They are looking for big things out of soph. middle lb Krey Cunningham and fs jr. J D Gilbert.

This is a young football team of mainly soph. and jrs.

The main hub of the soph. class was on the Hopkins Co. Warrior team that went to Dallas in December of 2015 and won the 13U FCS National Championship. So expectations and excitement are rising around this squad. Hoping for the best!
