I'm looking for bat recommendations. Any particular brands and models you seem to like? I'm in the market for a new one as my daughter's Mako just cracked after just 1 year of use.

All the top brands are good bats. Demarini, Louisville Slugger. I have to say I've never seen a Demarini CF series break. Whatever you decide look on eBay for last year's model still on the wrappers. Can save yourself 100+ on most bats.
