WC went on a big 25-5 run in the second quarter to build a big lead, but TNHS rallied back to cut it to 8 at halftime.

 

The Commanders took over in the third quarter, however, outscoring the Generals 22-6 to claim a spot in Thursday's 19th District semifinals against host and top seed Bardstown. The Tigers won both regular-season meetings, but the second game, at Springfield, was a tight 68-62 game that Bardstown had to hang on for dear life to win.

 

In tonight's game, WC's DT Yocum led the third-quarter charge with 12 of his game-high 26 coming in the frame. Cameron Willis scored 23, with 17 coming in the first half. He figured prominently in the 25-5 run in the second quarter, scoring 8 straight at one point.

 

TNHS got 15 from Ryan Martin and 13 from Jerry Wimsett in the loss.
