Two 4-0-0 teams in their last 4 games. Cooper has 18 goals for, 1 against Vs an average team rank of 115.25, (Boone not ranked so I gave them a 176, Maher stops at 175 in KY). CCH has 12 goals for, 1 against Vs an average team rank 39.25 (and two of these are OH teams where ranking are higher/more good teams).

Another night game @ CCH, kickoff at 7PM.

GPR, I like your approach with the Maher rankings. Teaching moment for you,,, where do I go to see them? Always interested in where some of the different stat references comes from. I'm familiar with the KHSAA site to see their stats/records, but it's limited. Anything other references you know of are appreciated. I'm looking forward to tonight's game. ASnow is fun to watch, regardless if he converts.

If you want to put an Ohio team on a KY ranking scale you just subtract the OH-# from the combined rank and it gives you how many team in KY would be ahead of them. Anderson would be a KY#6 and Seven Hills would be a KY#17. SK was KY#48 and Mad Central KY#13... so apples-to-apples CCH's last 4 had an average KY rank of 21 vs the Cooper's last 4 with average KY rank of 115.

 

The more direct comparison is just looking at Maher Scaled Rating, which is already apples-to-apples. KY#10 CCH sits at 15.26 and KY#36 Cooper at 13.56... a 1.7 differential on a neutral field. Maher I think says home field is worth a point. So CCH playing at home should be just under a 2.7 goal favorite. I'll go with a 3-1 win for CCH with Snow in the rain for Cooper's lone strike.

Boone not being ranked in the top 175 does not seem right, I would think they were ranked fairly close to Conner.

No doubt there is that blonde-haired factor (ASnow) with the potential to shred reasoned analysis. And the supporting cast is not too shabby either. Should be an exciting game.
