Jim Schue Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Mustangs overcame a ton of mistakes to rally from 22-13 down in the second half. Thomas Nelson had several miscues of their own, including a holding penalty inside the Moore 10 that wiped a TD off the board that could have made it 28-19. Still on the same series, TNHS went for it on 4th/G from the 3 and came up 1 yard short as Moore made the goal-line stand. On the next series, a personal foul on TNHS got Moore out of the shadow of their end zone. Moore got it out to midfield, but was intercepted at the TNHS 1 on a home-run attempt. Generals couldn't get a first down and punted short to the 31, and Moore took the lead a few plays later with 2:41 left on the clock. Thomas Nelson drove it all the way down to the Moore 15, but fumbled it away with about a minute left and the Mustangs kneed it out.
