Ryle Soccer week of 8/22

So do I hear correctly that they play at Moeller on Tuesday and then host Anderson on Thursday? Wow...that is a heck of a week for the Raiders. I love to see their staff challenging the boys with such a great early season schedule, and on the heels of traveling to Henry Clay over the weekend, right? Very impressive schedule.

 

Hope Ryle reps NKY well this week and can come out of these two games with 4 points.

The turnaround at Anderson under this new regime is crazy!! I'm not wasting 5 seconds digging, but I think they won about 3 games in the season 3 years ago. They were dreadful and broken to their core. Now, largely on the backs of one class (this year's juniors, I believe), they have completely flipped the script. Know one of their assistants a little, Jonah Ritter, and he, and they, are doing great things out east!

 

Ryle has a lot to do this week -- get 'em Raiders!!!

Moeller beat a very good Mason team in a scrimmage a week ago. They will be tough for sure.

Calling Mason "very good" is quite an under-statement. They are an outstanding h.s. soccer team, and if Moeller beat a Mason team that gave a darn about the outcome, that is a great result. In a scrimmage, it is always tough to tell.

 

I think Mason would be a HUGE favorite to win the KY State Title this year if they were located about 25 miles south.

This isn't the Mason team from last year but they are good I'm sure and it was a scrimmage. Regardless, Moeller will be more than a handful for Ryle. If they can keep that game within 3 goals I think that would be doing pretty well.
