Couldn't find anything on either school's football website regarding the scrimmage. Did see a pic of Dixie's helmet for 2016, looks sharp:

Neither team played like gangbusters! It was hot and humid...there was good, bad, and ugly. It was a first scrimmage for both teams.

No need to be critical over a scrimmage so I'm simply going to focus on the good i saw in both teams. Each offense got 10 plays to run twice and then they played a simulated half of football.

Harrison has a very polished QB and solid OL which provided said QB with good time to pass. Dixie adjusted well and blitzed effectively throughout the half.

Harrison scored on a deep passing TD due to a blown deep 1/3rd coverage. They scored their second TD on a short run after a big 50 yd + WR screen pass.

The final score was 14-6 Harrison. Dixie scored on a 65 + TD run by Jose Torres. Barker had a couple good runs. He's is very elusive and tends to make the first defender miss. Hicks and Barrett had a couple solid runs as well. Both saw a lot of time on both sides of the ball.

With the exception of the three big plays...this was a defensive struggle. I'd give Harrison the edge on special teams. Happy to report I don't believe there were any serious injuries and both teams know what they need to address before the next opportunity! :thumb:

Dixie will play Beechwood at Dixie next Friday...
