Birds hosted the Bombers today at HP. The game was moved from Saturday because of better weather. I missed the game due to work but this is what I have.

 

The Bombers scored 1st by plating 2 runs in top of 2nd and scoring the 3rd on a wild pitch/passed ball. Birds couldn't get the timely hit and stranded a runner on 3rd twice. Birds broke up the shut out in bottom of the 7th with a Carson Fitters RBI but stranded the bases loaded to end the game.

 

The Bombers starting pitcher went 6 1/3 and threw major heat. I was told 80-85 mph and he was by far the hardest thrower they faced all year. Birds had hard time hitting him all game. Crosly New started for the Birds and went 4 innings. Grady Cramer came in relief for 2 innings and closed by Hunter Dreves.

 

JV Birds play CovCath Tuesday at CovCath.

Not a bad showing against the Bombers.
