Extra bases runners were the difference in this one, as Avonworth, PA took advantage of 8 walks, 3 hit batters, and 5 errors to beat the Breds 7-4 in 7.

NewCath plates 2 in the opening frame on RBI singles from Haley Meyers and Jenna Fryer, but Avonworth takes the lead for good in their half of the 1st with 3 runs on 3 walks, a hit batter, & two singles. Avonworth adds two more in the 2nd with no hits (2 BB, 1HBP, & E). They add another in the 4th after two were out on an E, 2 BB's, & an infield single.

NewCath would go hitless in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th......but get two runs in the 6th on an RBI triple by Meyers and an RBI single by Fryer. Avonworth would get one back in their half off the 6th on a two-out, two on error.

Haley Meyers only gave up 5 hits (2 off the infield variety) and struck-out 6 and goes to 4-3 on the season.

Meyers 3-3 triple, 2RBI

Fryer 2-3, 2RBI
