The 59th District Tournament will be held at East Ridge High School. The matchup's are as follows:

Pikeville (1 seed) vs. Piarist (4 seed)

Shelby Valley (2 seed) vs. East Ridge (3 seed)

Who gets out the district?

I like Pikeville over Piarist. Pikeville has played better ball the last couple of weeks and will roll past a Knights team that is winless on the year.

I like Shelby Valley over East Ridge. Although this will be at the "reservation" Shelby Valley has two dominate guards in Swindall and Wright and it will be difficult for the Warriors to contain them. Coach McCoy is sly in developing a game plan this time of year and should make this a BATTLE.

I will take Shelby Valley over Pikeville in the finals. With a rivalry second to none and after last weeks fire works, this game will be a must see. The Panthers will put a fight with Battaile and Slone but won't be able to keep up with Swindall and Wright as the wildcats take the 59th.
