Newport Central Catholic 60 Dixie Heights 40

Breds run past the Red Colonels in the home opener. http://bluegrasspreps.com/ky-boys-basketball/dixie-heights-%40-318427.html

NewCath opens the game on a 10-0 run and doesn't look back. The NewCath full court press had Dixie in fits the whole evening. Coach Dawn was subbing early and often, as 10 different players saw significant minutes throughout the entire game.

Hall (7 - 6) and Weyer (6 - 10) do all their scoring in the 1st & 3rd quarters, while John Ludwig hits 3 consecutive treys to open the 2nd stanza, he would take only one more shot.....which spun out of the cylinder. (IMO, he needs to shoot more when he's on fire).

The final 4:30 of this one, NewCath passed the ball around the entire time without taking a shot.
