MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACK: There will be blood?

When it comes to defense, Greenup County might just have the best in the area.

In terms of defense mechanisms, the Musketeers need to become less like the opossum and more like the Texas Horned Lizard.

The opossum is quite talented in that it can “play dead” for hours. For Greenup County, this has had a carryover effect. When those playing defense deaden activity on the football field, they can’t quite arise from the slumber on offense, hence close losses like Russell (19-13), Raceland (12-6) and Lawrence County (19-15).

Are the Musketeers really just 16 points from being 7-0?

Yes, but at 4-3, they’re just quiet and sneaky enough to be exceptionally dangerous.
