October 6, 201511 yr The story is a bit misleading from what I gather. Student council was the one who voted it down. This day has been tied to homecoming and each year themes are voted on. In the past there have been years where it was American pride. It was not going to be a theme day this year. Students were surveyed on themes they wanted and #1 was Toga Day. #3 was America Day. Student council decided against it since not every student is American.
