Class 1A remains the same 1-9 this week despite a great argument for Beechwood to lose their number one spot after losing to Covington Catholic. Likewise, there was a good argument for Russellville to move up. In the end, the three teams in the top five lost to quality oppents and kept their position. Your top 3 are #1 Beechwood, #2 Paintsville and #3 Pikeville. Bethlehem, though, drops out of the top 10 after the loss last week to Kentucky Country Day, replaced by Bishop Brossart.

 

In Class 2A, the rankings 1-7 remain the same, even with strong consideration given to moving Mayfield above DeSales. Who is the real number one? Lexington Christian Academy drops out of the top 10 this week after a 1 point loss to Walton Verona. Lloyd Memorial moves up to take the #8 spot and Butler County enters the top 10 at #9. Monroe County hangs onto #10.

 

Class 3A rankings this week are unchanged from last week, keeping Boyle County at #1, followed by Belfry at #2 and Central at #3. Can anyone challenge these three for top positions? Lexington Catholic retains #4, with Caldwell County still at #5.

 

In Class 4A this week, the top 4 keep their spots, with Johnson Central still holding onto #1, followed by South Warren at #2, Ashland at #3 and Franklin County at #4. Scott moves up to #5 this week, and Shelby County moves up to #6, while Spencer County hangs in at #7. Hopkinsville drops to #8 this week, and John Hardin drops to #9. Collins slips one, but hangs on in this weeks rankings at #10 this week.

 

No change in the 5A rankings 1-6 this week. Who in the top six should move? Bowling Green retains the #1 spot, with Pulaski County at #2 and Owensboro at #3. Fern Creek is still at #4, followed by Southwestern at #5 and Christian County at #6. Highlands drops to #10 this week, as Anderson County jumps to #7, followed by North Laurel at #8. Covington Catholic at #9 enters the top 10 this week as Bullitt Central departs.

 

Class 6A rankings this week are unchanged from our rankings 9/14. Male continues to impress and remains #1, followed by Trinity at #2 and Scott County at #3. To round out the top 5, Simon Kenton is still at #4, with Manual at #5. With the strength of schedule, can anyone knock the top two from their positions?
