Eagles rout Raiders, 58-15

WESTWOOD When Fairview needs a big play, it can usually rely on dynamic playmaker Antwan Washington.

He did not disappoint, tallying three more touchdowns to aid the Eagles’ big-play offense in a 58-15 rout of East Carter on Friday night at Fairview Stadium.

Both teams combined for four turnovers in the first five minutes of the game. Washington turned the Raiders’ second miscue into points when he stepped in front of a pass and sprinted down the sideline for six at the 7:03 mark of the first quarter.

“We never want to start the game the way we did,” Fairview coach Fred Ray said. “We have to correct those things and correct our penalties. I was proud of my guys the way they bounced back and started moving forward.”
