Thanks for the comments coach, they are much appreciated. Sorry we weren't able to get off to a better start tonight, at least the second half was much more of what I expected and much more respectable.

I offer up a much condensed version of my take on the match...

 

Cooper did not seem ready to answer the bell at 8:00.

 

By roughly 8:08, I believe the score to be 2-0.

 

At 8:09, realization that the Indians were good, and fast up top set-in.

 

From 8:10 to 8:39, Cooper fought and scrapped to get back in the match.

 

At 8:40, they took a 10 minute break, score was now 3-0.

 

Play resumed at 8:50.

 

By 8:51 it was evident that there were now 2 teams ready to play.

 

For the remainder of the match, I feel that Cooper was much more aggressive and competed like I would have expected at the beginning, this I was proud of. Going up against a more talented squad, that is also well coached, is never easy but getting off to a bad start typically spells doom in these sort of matches.

 

Scoring...

 

MC - Kipchumba's had 3 between them and Dodson chipped in with 2. Unsure about assists but I believe Netherton should be credited with a few, very impressed with his ball movement and passing last night.

 

Cooper - Workman had a nice strike in the second half that rattled around in the upper ninety, it was a bender from about 25 yards out. Not sure if an assist will be awarded on this one.

Has Rodgers been on the team from the get go or did he just see how much fun Boniface was having and decide to join? Looks like Rodgers has played in 5 games and scored twice, while Boniface has 11 in 9 games. Nice pickup for a couple of players their senior year.

Not sure, only listed in the stats for the past 5 matches.

 

Based on CCH comments from a few weeks ago, I expected to see a fast and talented striker. I almost called OTB to ask why no one mentioned they had two. They can pose some real issues for the defense when they are both running at the back line.

 

OTB was also correct about the burgers and sport facilities.... both nice. I heard something about breakfast fixins being offered up for the morning match tomorrow.
