I saw most of the 3rd and 4th quarters. From what i had read about the Trinity team on here I was not impressed. Mistakes, sloppy play etc. Male has some good players. Hats off to them.

Yes, Male played and looked like a much better team. They went with one QB in place of the platoon system thy used against Ballard. The Bulldogs speed on defense killed Trinity for most of the game. Trinity did push the Male defense on a couple of scoring drives. Turnovers hurt both teams. It was 13-12 with 2 minutes to play when the Male QB broke off a 65 yard scoring run to seal the deal.

 

The Trinity QB was injured the second to last play of the game.

 

An offsides versus Trinity on a fourth and seven in which Male shanked the field goal proved costly. Male converted the fourth and two and then scored quickly from the three.

 

Trinity has games at PRP and versus Butler (at Central) next Thursday 9/17 (5:30PM) and Saturday 9/19 (4PM-tentative). The "greenies" will face several more tough tasks in the future with St. Xavier, DeSales and Moeller on the schedule.
