Week 3 is in the books. In Class 1A, it's just a shuffle here, a shuffle there. Beechwood remains atop the rankings, while most every team below them either moves up one or down one. Paintsville bumps out Pikeville for #2 . Russellville keeps the #3 spot and Raceland remains at #4 . Campbellsville trades with Fairview for #6 . Paris, Hazard and Bethlehem stay at #8 , #9 and #1 0 .

 

Class 2A sees the top 3 remain the same with Mayfield #1 , DeSales #2 and Christian Academy-Louisville at #3 . Owensboro Catholic moves up to #4 , bumping Murray to #5 . Danville and Newport Central Catholic trade spots at #6 & #7 respectively. Lexington Christian Academy is the big mover this week, jumping from #1 0 to #8 in this week's rankings, and Somerset drops out, making way for Monroe County to enter.

 

In Class 3A, the top three remain the same, with Boyle County still the consensus #1 , with Belfry at #2 . Lexington Catholic hangs on to #3 . From there, it gets interesting. Central moves up to #4 , as Paducah Tilghman drops to #6 after the loss to 2A #1 Mayfield last week. Caldwell cruises up to #5 after handling 6A North Hardin. Corbin slips to #7 , while Elizabethtown, Russell and Bell County hang on to the #8 , #9 and #1 0 spots.

 

While the top 5 remain the same in this week's Class 4A rankings, Scott zooms up to #6 this week from #9 last week; Hopkinsville, last week's #1 0 shoots all the way to #7 this week. North Oldham, last week's #6 , drops completely out, opening the door for Shelby County at #1 0 this week.

 

Maybe the most intersting rankings this week are 5A. Bowling Green hangs in at #1 despite being manhandled by 6A St. Xavier last week. Highlands, however, slips from #2 to #4 after their loss to 6A Scott County. Pulaski County is now at #2 , leapfrogging both Owensboro (this week's #3 ) and Highlands. The bottom half remains the same, except Covington Catholic's drop out of the top 10, after Bullitt Central has a strong performance against Southern to enter at #1 0 .

 

Huge tests of our rankings coming up in Class 6A this week. Still a #1 , #2 of Trinity and Male. This week will let us know if our team has it right! Still at #3 , Scott County tests their mettle by traveling to Cincinnati Elder (OH). Manual hangs on to #4 . Lafayette, last week's 5 drops completely out of the top 10 after losing to #1 Trinity last week. St. Xavier skips over Simon Kenton to claim the #5 spot, and Simon Kenton hangs on to #6 . Cooper drops out of the top 10 after being shut out by Bryan Station. Ryle bumps up to #8 this week, followed by Pleasure Ridge Park at #9 , and Central Hardin enters at #1 0 .
