This week, Beechwood retains the # 1 spot in 1A. Pikeville jumps from #5 last week to #2 this week. Raceland, last week's # 2 drops to #5 with 20 point loss to Ashland. Bethlehem slides in at #10 , as Frankfort drops out.

 

In Class 2A, Christian Academy - Louisville's convincing 42-7 win over 6A Eastern jumps to #3 . Owensbor Catholic & Newport Central Catholic drop after losses to 6A schools (Owensboro Catholic's loss a heartbreaking OT loss). Monroe County drops out of the top 10 this week opening up a spot for Lexington Christian Academy to slide in.

 

Several surprises in 3A as Boyle County leapfrogs Belfry & Lexington Catholic to take the #1 spot this week. Lawrence County leaves the top 10. Caldwell County comes out of nowhere to enter this week @#7, after a 29 point victory over 4A Franklin-Simpson last week.

 

The top of Class 4A is solidly in place for the time being. Franklin-Simpson drops completely out of the top 10 after holding the #6 spot last week. Warren Central also drops out, opening up spots for Hopkinsville and Scott to move into the top ten.

 

A few interesting moves in Class 5A this week. Bowling Green remains #1 , while Pulaski Co drops from #2 last week to #4 after losing to Scott County by 22 points. Highlands is solid at #3 for now, but there's a big test this week with Scott County looming. Covington Catholic drops from #6 to #10 after 50 pt loss to St Xavier (OH). Fern Creek moves up to #8 despite losing to 6A Manual. Class 5A is a tough one to rank this year.

 

The battle for #1 in 6A is in full swing as Trinity edges out Male for #1 after a convincing win on the road at Brentwood Academy (TN). Pleasure Ridge Park jumps in at #10 after beating Meade County 35-0. Bryan Station is out of the top 10 after losing to Simon Kenton. Ryle is in after beating Lexignton Catholic. Ballard also drops out of the top 10 this week after losing to Male. Northern Kentucky 6A fans have to be happy with the number of teams represented in the top 10 this year.
