PAINTSVILLE Geordan Blanton may have begun his Johnson Central athletic career as a wide-eyed freshman.

 

Two years later, he’s adjusting to his role as an upperclassman leader just fine.

 

Being a state champion in wrestling and a catalyst on a baseball state quarterfinalist help in that regard as the Golden Eagles set their sights on — dare they say it? — a state football title.
