MOREHEAD Ray Graham had never seen anything like it.

Positively not when he coached football at Lexington Christian.

Absolutely not when he led Harrison County.

And possibly not even when he led Rowan County from 1980-82.

Nearly 10 months after it happened, neither Graham, who begins the second year of his second stint in Morehead, nor any other Rowan County player or coach, will soon forget Oct. 31, 2014 — the night the Vikings gained 717 rushing yards in a 60-54 win at Montgomery County. The Vikings’ Dylan Fultz capped the win with a 9-yard run with 37 seconds left in the game.

“It was a long game,” Vikings senior running back Jeff Masters said. “It was like we (were) running forever.”
