This was a great game with a crazy ending. Collins took a 1-0 lead in the 2nd and held that lead until the top of the 7th when North scored a run to tie it up. In the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs and no one on Shelbi Poehlein laced a single into centerfield. She then stole second and the throw got past the 2nd baseman and into centerfield and Poehlein came around to score to win it 2-1. Both pitchers pitched a great game with Collins 8th grader Carson Murray coming out on top.

Collins has set a new school record for wins in a season as they improve to 24-10. This will be their second regional final appearance in their 5 seasons as a school.
