Knox Central 9 Clay County 3

Featured Replies

The rough just keeps getting rougher for Clay County. This one really hurts. Can anyone shed some light on this game?

Clay just didn't come to play. Weren't that many errors, they just weren't there. This one was tough to take because I think the Tigers are a 5 run better team than Knox. They just couldn't hit the ball off of Scalf. It seems that Brandon Mobley doesn't have his stuff yet. I'm kind of glad they are having their losing skid right now. I'd rather it be now, than when it matters. I think Clay is one of the top 5 in the region, but they defenately aren't playing like it. Scalf is going to be a dandy for Central. He doesn't throw that hard, but he has good stuff and a deceptive realease. Good win Central, and for the Tigers, get it together, and show people the kind of team you guys really are.

Sounds like Clay's season could be headed south. A strong willed coach could possibly put on the brakes. Losing to KC that bad is not a good sign.

The way I am looking at it is that in years past they have beat most of the teams in the region early in the season, but by the end of the year they blow up. Hopefully it will be the opposite this year. I don't even want to get into the coaching problems. All I'm going to say is things have to change or one of the best groups of ball players to ever come through Clay County will amount to nothing. I'm not talking about this years team, I'm talking about the team over the next 5 years. The future is bright, all we need to do in Manchester is to get someone that is going to put all his time into the program.

What happened to your middle school coach that was there a couple of years ago? Did he teach? When you have no control of your players, you will LOSE.

I guess he deciced to give it up when his son (Zach Lewis) decided to give baseball up. I hope things will change around her quick.
