Content1
Hats off to the student-athletes, coaches, parents, fans, meet volunteer staff, and concession workers who braved last nights cold, wind, and rain to complete a solid early season meet at Rice Mountjoy Stadium. Congratulations to the Dixie Heights Boys and Ryle Girls who won the meet. Boys and girls team standings were as follows: Boys - Dixie 126, NCC 120, Ryle 120, Walton Verona 90, Lloyd 84, Scott 67, Villa 42 Girls - Ryle 176, Dixie 166, Walton Verona 86, Scott 65, NCC 63, Villa 35, Dayton 33, Bellevue 27, Lloyd 6 Congratulations to the following student-athletes on setting new meet records: :thumb: * Juliet McGregor (Ryle) set a new meet record in the Girls 200M with a time of 26.18 surpassing the prior mark of 26.57. * Eric Baugh (Villa) set a new meet record in the 3200M with a time of 10:00.16 surpassing the prior mark of 10:03.80. * Branden Johnson (Dixie) set a new meet record in the shot put throwing 48-08.75' surpassing the old mark of 45-01'. Thankfully, I believe everyone escaped injury free in the near 40 degree temps. Made that grilled cheese and hearty chicken noodle soup post meet dinner that much more enjoyable. Keep up the good work folks, sunny and warmer temps are right around the corner.
