Basketball season for 2014/2015 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Butler. Remember, please be constructive.

Butler had some defections from a very subpar season last year which could be addition by subtraction. They return probably the hardest athlete to stop in the region in Will Johnson. I also think they have some talented younger kids in the sophomore and freshmen classes from what I hear. Jaquay Wales, I think, should be one of the talked about freshmen this year but no one is mentioning him. Butler could surprise some people this year, but I doubt a region title run is in the cards.

With the transfer of Bell a three year starter at PG, Butler is going to take a big hit. They are also in the toughest district in the state with Doss, Desales, Western, Iroquois and Butler. Coming off a 10-16 season they do return a lot of experience players do depend on. Always a talented team and will continue to play fast pressing style.

 

I think if they can get some good guard play which they always seem to have at butler they will be able to compete.
