They play Tuesday at 7 pm at Tower Park.

 

These two teams played to a 0 - 0 tie at Tower park earlier in the season. The Boone squad was really shorthanded then -- down 6 or 7 players that game.

 

This region will have some tight games. Boone beat Cooper 1-0 in regular season and Cooper beat Boone 1-0 in District Championship.

 

Boone tied NCC 1-1 in the regular season.

 

Highlands and NCC tied after 80 minutes, then tied in two 5 minute periods and went down to second round of PKs.

 

Did I mention this region has several evenly matched teams?

2-1 Boone in regulation.

Region 9 has a lot of great contenders this year. HHS has had a great run in the 12 games since tying Boone County going 9-2-1 including wins over CovCath, Holy Cross, Dixie and NCC (twice). Only loss to a team in the Region 9 tourney during that time was a loss to St Henry.

 

Boone County has an excellent team and it should be a great contest. I think 2-1 is the right score, but with HHS coming out on top.

Boone 2 - 1 Highlands. Game ends in a 1-1 tie and Boone wins in a pk shoot out. Boone's goal comes off a big throw late in the second half.

That would be a throw-in by Gascon.
