Hearsay Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Tigers fall just short against the #1 team in the state. This game was the Brian Calhoun and Stephon Pettigrew freak show. Pettigrew had 33 points. Todd Atcher only had 2 points for E-Town. Calhoun had 34 points for Bardstown. Difference was Bardstown's absolute inability to shoot from outside tonight, got badly outrebounded, and total lack of answer for Pettigrew. Great season by Bardstown, who ends up 24-9, All-A champs, and one of their finest seasons in many years.
Hearsay Posted March 11, 2006 Author Posted March 11, 2006 To emphasize just what a great player Brian Calhoun is, and should be recognized for being, his freshmen year Bardstown won 5 games, I think. They have come a long, long, way.
King Rex Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Bardstown played a great game. Panthers struggled from the free throw line and missed at least 8 layups in the first half. Find a way to win baby!! Win and move on. Calhoun was unreal tonight, super quick and can jump out of the gym. Bardstown is always a class program and they showed it tonight.
