St Xavier 14 DeSales 12 (Freshmen)

Featured Replies

In a Glaser-esque comeback, the Tigers stormed back from a 12-0 deficit in the second half to upend the Colts. DeSales led only 6-0 at the half after an interception return for a Colts touchdown was nullified by an obvious clip that had no bearing on the play! It was so obvious, the referee had to make the call.

The Colts also hurt the chances with a fumble on a punt that the Tigers recovered around the Colts 15 yard line late in the third quarter. The Tigers needed around three minutes to punch this possession in to cut their deficit to 12-7 with around 6 minutes to play. The game was contested with 8 minute quarters due to both teams having scheduled games Saturday.:banghead:

The Colts ran off four minutes after the kickoff and the Tigers took over on their 20. The Tigers committed a hold and were set back to their 10 yard line. A few short pass completions. a critical pass-interference call, and one long reception moved the Tigers to the Colts 24 yard line. The Tigers passed for the winning score with under 30 seconds remaining in the contest.:isurrender:

In my opinion, St Xavier does seem to have a lucky horseshoe in their arsenal when the game is tight. :thumb:

Congrats Tigers on the W. Keep working hard and improving!!!!
