Several people have asked how to post videos and video links. Below are several options:

 

Posting video from youtube:

This option can only be used with youtube a few other select video dumping websites. This option will allow the video to appear in the text box with your posted text. This example will cover starting a new thread and adding video.

 

1. Select "Post New Thread":

2. Under "Prefix" select "Video". This will place a Red "Video" tag beside your thread title so everyone knows there is a video in this thread.

 

3. Place the Thread Title in the "Title" box.

4. In a separate window, open the video you wish to add to your post and copy the URL from the Address bar.

5. Click the "Film" icon above the text box

6. A "Video Clip" box will appear, paste the URL of the video link in the box, then click "OK".

7. The video URL will appear in your text box in brackets that say "Video".

8. Click "Submit" to submit your thread

9. Your youtube video will now appear in your text box with your post and members can now just click the video to watch it.

You can also post links to videos from sites other then youtube. This will allow members to click the link to be taken to another website in a separate window to watch the video you wish to post. This option has to be used with Hudl videos, as they will not embed in the above example like youtube videos. This example will be how to post a video link in an existing thread.

 

Posting a video link:

 

1. Find the text box to respond to the thread and type the title of the video you are posting.

2. In a separate window, copy the URL of the video from the address bar that you wish to post a link to.

3. Highlight the video title that you typed in the text box

4. Click the "Link" icon above the text box

5. A "Link" box will appear. Paste the URL of the video you wish to provide a link for in the box and click "OK".

6. Click "Submit" to submit your post

7. You link to the video will now be embedded in the video title and will appear a dark blue. Members can now click the video title and be taken, in a separate window, to the site that video is posted on.
