Madisonville North played county rival Hopkins Co Central tonight. North jumped out to a 4-0 lead with a 3R HR from Mallory Peyton(3) in 1st innings followed by solo HR from Heather Webb(6). North scored again in 5th when Whitney Bean led off the inning with a double that was followed up by triple by Morgan McElroy, McElroy then scored on a squeeze play by Allison Davis to make score 6-0. North added it's final 3 runs in the top of the 6th inning when Hailey Rodgers led off the inning with a standup double and then scored on Mallory Peytons standup double for her 4th RBI of the night. Mallory Peyton then advanced to 3rd on Heather Webb's sac fly to RF and then scored on Whitney Beans sac fly to CF.

 

Heather Webb went the distance giving up 2 hits, striking out 8 allowing an 1 unearned run in the 4th inning.

 

North next game is against Warren East, Marshall Co, & Louisville Christian this weekend in Bowling Green in Greenwoods Border Battle.

Should be interesting tournament this year with Henderson beating Union 6-0 last night and Union beating us 2-1. It's going to come down to pitching.
