[h=1]40th District Tournament: Lady Cards roll past Paris in opener[/h]

If there were any postseason jitters, it didn’t show.

Clark (21-7) wasted no time disposing of the Lady Hounds in a game it led from start to finish. The Lady Cards scored 15 of the first 17 points and led 19-4 at the end of the first quarter to set the tone for the runaway victory.

Sandra Skinner scored six of the Lady Cardinals’ first eight points. Skinner, who played three quarters, scored 12 points in the first half and finished with 18 to lead all scorers.

Sydney Anderson scored eight points in the third quarter and followed Skinner with 13 points. Maddie Hamlin rounded out three Clark players in double figures with 10 points.

In addition to its offense, the Lady Cardinals forced 31 turnovers, including 19 in the first two quarters and limited Paris to just six field goals.
