Once the George Rogers Clark girls basketball team got past the emotions of senior night, the Lady Cardinals wasted no time disposing of Nicholas County.In addition to the offensive dominance during the last two quarters, the Lady Cards’ defense also was impressive. The Lady Blue Jackets didn’t score their first basket of the second half until 50 seconds remaining in the third quarter.“They went seven minutes without a point and we did a much better job defensively,” Robbie Graham said. “We shared the ball better and we handled the ball better. We came out more relaxed and ready to play in the second half.”
