Lady Cardinals keep rolling with rout of Tates Creek

 

 

The George Rogers Clark girls basketball team is still on a roll.

The Lady Cardinals kept the Lady Commodores winless and increased their winning streak to seven games with a 78-43 win Friday night at Norton Gymnasium. The final tally was a season-high for Clark.

 

 

Williams went down with an apparent left ankle injury with 6:59 remaining and didn’t return. Taylor left briefly in the first quarter but returned to the lineup.

 

“That’s one thing we didn’t want to happen,” Graham said. “Paige tweaked her ankle a little bit, and Kaytlynn tweaked hers a little bit. I hope she’s not out too long.”

 

Graham cleared his bench in the fourth quarter with a running clock intact during the final eight minutes.

 

 

Game rescheduled: Clark’s 40th District game against Paris has been rescheduled for 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, at Norton Gymnasium.
